LAHORE: Punjab caretaker chief minister Hasan Askari on Friday said that the interim set up will make all efforts to ensure transparent elections.
Askar said that “All resources will be made use of to the election peaceful and transparent.” He added that the responsibility bestowed within him will be completed.
Interim CM asserted that the nation had instilled this trust within the caretaker setup and it will be not be broken.
The newly appointed Chief secretary Akbar Durrani and Inspector General of Police Kaleem Imam met interim CM earlier to discuss measures to ensure free and fair elections.
Askari, earlier took oath as Punjab CM on June 8 as the government’s tenure completed on May 31.
