LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Khursheed Shah claimed on Friday that the incumbent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government’s leaders were undemocratic and have ties with banned outfits ‘from day one of their regime’.
Speaking at a press conference as part of PPP’s one-week ‘Foundation Day’ celebrations, Shah said that due to the wrong decisions and inexperienced politics of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received a lot of help.
PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira clarified that the former president Asif Ali Zardari’s return was his party’s unanimous decision and while commenting on the Panamagate scandal, he said that the Qatari Prince was the one who partnered with Saifur Rehman.
Another party leader, Nisar Khuhro, said that his party wanted a much-needed population consensus at the earliest in the country.
The entire PPP leadership also hoped that their party would be able to resolve pressing issues of the nation – under the young leadership of party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
