The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Thursday approved release of dues to the families of deceased employees of the Pakistan Steel Mills.
In the ECC session, which was held under Finance Minister Asad Umar, it was decided to provide approximately Rs 6.60 billion to the families of the deceased employees.
This amount will be given under gratuity, provident and other funds to the relatives.
According to sources, the ECC postponed discussing the issue of gas load shedding, whereas, the decision on provision of funds for ‘Ghurbat Mukao Programme’ will be taken up in the next cabinet session.
