GUYANA: Pakistan Women cricket team captain Javeria Khan scored 74 out of 52 balls which resulted in Pakistan’s first win of the ICC Women’s World T20 2018 in West Indies on Tuesday.
Pakistan defeated Irland with a 38-run at the Providence Stadium. Batting first, the women in green managed to score a total of 139 for 6 before an all-round bowling effort turned the chase into a no-show.

Ireland Women began to play very well with Clare Shillington scoring five breezy boundaries in her innings of 27. However, when Pakistan’s Nashra Sandhu started bowling Shillington failed to maintain her momentum.

In Ireland team, only Isobel Joyce stayed on the pitch long enough to score a 30.
For Pakistan, Sandhu got two wickets for eight runs with former captain Sana Mir, Aiman Anwer, and Aliya Riaz each managed to get two wickets and led Pakistan to embrace their first victory in the tournament.

Pakistan’s first win of the tournament placed the team at third in the tournament. Pakistan had lost their opening game of the tournament by 52 runs to Australia and then their second match to India by seven wickets.
Pakistan will be facing New Zealand in the next match on November 15.
