KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court has handed former district and sessions judge Sikandar Lashari the death penalty over charges of murder.
Lashari was indicted in the case of murder of a 19-year-old boy. The victim was the son of Jacobabad district and sessions judge. He was gunned down in February 2014.
Lashari was seated at Mithi as the district and sessions judge at the time of murder.
The former sessions judge, who had been serving jail sentence in Hyderabad, was presented before the court, which handed down the death sentence.
The court also awarded death sentence to Irfan Bengali, the second convicted in the case.
