Sindh Minister for Energy, Planning and Development, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, in his statement at the launch of the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign, said that the Pakistan People’s Party firmly believes in people-friendly policies and practical measures for environmental protection. He said that under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari, effective strategies are being adopted to address the environmental challenges facing the country.
Nasir Shah stated that a large-scale tree plantation campaign is being launched to make Sindh greener and more vibrant, with a target of planting millions of saplings during the monsoon drive.
He emphasized that trees are the ornament of the earth and the guarantee of human survival, adding that planting trees is essential to reduce air pollution and ensure a healthy environment. He further said that public participation has always been a core part of PPP’s policies, which is why educational institutions, social organizations, and private entities are also taking part in this campaign. Nasir Hussain Shah appealed to the people that every individual should plant at least one tree to provide a better environment for future generations.
The provincial minister reiterated that the PPP government is actively working towards a green revolution in Sindh and the benefits of this plantation campaign will be reaped by the generations to come.
